| Aman bags first prize in classical vocal solo | | Display Your Talent | |

JAMMU, Dec 3: On the second day of the “Display Your Talent” being organized by the Department of Students Welfare of Jammu University, Aman Singh Choudhary from Institute of Music and Fine Arts, bagged the first prize in classical vocal solo while Mukteshi from the Government Women College (GMC) Parade and Mandeep Kour from Atman College of Education, bagged second and third prize.
Certificates of merit were awarded to Mridhu Jamwal of GWC Gandhi Nagar and Poonam Devi of GWC Udhampur. Raga Shudh Kalyan, Raga Yaman, Raga Bageshree, Raga Vilas Khani Todi, Raga Bihag, Raga Desi, Raga Shivranjini were played in today’s classical vocal (solo) event.
Veena Gupta, Rattan Prabha and Jagdeep Kour were the adjudicators. Dr. Shailendra Singh Associate Dean (SW) presented the welcome address. Vijay Atri apprised the participants about the rules and regulations of the event. The proceedings were conducted by Cultural Secretary Madhvi Sharma. Kulbushan Thakur and Joginder singh acted as time keepers
Among others Prof. N.K Tripathi, Prof. Jasbir Singh, Vinay Thusoo, Gagandeep Sharma, teacher in charges from various colleges were also present on this occasion.
