| Army lodges protest with Pak troops over ceasefire violation | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 3: Army today lodged a strong protest with Pak troops over the yesterday's incident of ceasefire violation on the Line of Control (LoC) in KG sub-sector of Poonch.
"We have lodged a strong protest with our Pakistani counterparts and asked them to refrain from such acts in the future", army officials said. The two sides met on the LoC in Poonch today, the sources added. The Pak troops had yesterday targeted several Indian posts on LoC in KG sub-sector with mortars and rockets and fired indiscriminately.
The Pak troops had shelled Kirpan, Kirpan one, Chajja, Kranti, Ghoda, Nangi Tikri and Mandol forward posts on LoC. Pakistan had earlier violated the ceasefire on October 24 and 27 in which an army jawan was killed in Krishnagati sub-sector |
