Inquilabi's grilling leads police to arrest of his close associate
It is felt that he can help police smash HM network across Jammu region

JAMMU, Dec 3: Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) divisional commander Abdullah Inquilabi's sustained grilling today led security forces to the apprehension of his close associate from Dhaleri in Kalakote, Rajouri.
The buoyed up police now hope to smash the entire HM network across Jammu region.
Inquilabi, who was arrested by Delhi police special cell from Deer Park on November 14 last, is being interrogated by different agencies at Rajouri police station.
Official sources said on his disclosure, police and troops of counter-insurgency force (Uniform) apprehended his close associate from Dhaleri.
He was identified as Pervez Bakkarwal (30), son of Dawood Bakkarwal of Dhaleri.
He was highly motivated HM supporter and provided food, shelter and guidance to terrorists, besides giving them information as regards the movement of security forces.
He had been under sections 55, 109, 212 and 216 of RPC for his involvement in unlawful activities. He was lodged at Kalakote police station.
Pervez's arrest has caused panic among HM sympathisers in Rajouri, Reasi and Poonch districts, the sources added. Police hope that the interrogation of Abdullah Inquilabi could lead them to smash the whole network of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) outfit across Jammu region.
Major breakthroughs in various cases and about the whereabouts of top militant commanders and sympathisers were expected during his interrogation, sources said.
After being handed over by Delhi police, Abdullah's sustained interrogation had begun, SSP, Rajouri, Ramesh Jalla said.
"We expect major breakthroughs in various cases and also about the whereabouts of top militant leaders, their hideouts and the weaponry dumped at different places," he added.
Jhalla said they also hoped to get a detailed information from him about HM sympathisers.
The HM divisional commander was wanted in several cases of killings, abductions, extortion and attacks on security forces. Inquilabi hails from Muzaffarabad in PoK and had been active in Rajouri and Poonch for the past one decade.
Initially he was chief of HM Pir Panchal Regiment, but after it got wiped out completely, he took over as HM commander for Jammu province.
Inquilabi had let loose a reign of terror in Pir Panchal region and he operated in Budhal, Dharamshal, Kalakote, Shopian, Mahore and Gulabgarh. He is suspected to be involved in several Hizbul operations in the country besides collection of funds for the terror outfit.
