| Inter-collegiate poster making competition organized | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, DECEMBER 04 – The Gandhian Studies Centre of Govt. M.A.M. College in collaboration with J&K State Aids Prevention and Control Society organised an Inter-collegiate poster/slogan making competition in the college on Aids: Prevention and Cure.
Dr T.R.Raina, HOD Blood Transfusion Medicine, Govt. Medical College, Jammu was the chief guest. In his address, he dwelt upon the need to aware the masses regarding the menace of AIDS and assured every possible help required for the purpose.
The Principal of the college Dr. Ajeet Angral lauded the efforts of the Gandhian Studies Centre for organising such a function highlighting its menace. He also stressed upon the imperative need for its prevention and cure.
Dr. Sajjad Uri, Deputy Director of JKSAPCS stressed upon the role and importance of spreading such awareness programmes.
Dr Twinkle Suri, Director of Gandhian Studies Centre deliberated upon the efforts of JKSAPCS in organising such a meaningful awareness campaign in the college. About 20 participants from various colleges showcased their creative talent in a colourful display of posters and slogans. Bharti Sharma, GDC Akhnoor, Anuradha GDC Samba and Mudassar Mirza , GDC Paloura won first , second and third prizes respectively.
Dr Rakesh Bahl and Dr Arun Sharma were the Resource Persons who gave detailed presentation on the global scenario of HIV and its prevention and Cure. Dr. Shikha Dwivedi, Sabia Iqbal and Radhika Soodan were the jury members on the occasion.
