PDP concerned over rising corruption | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 4: To highlight various problems of people in Jammu and Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has decided to hold party conventions and public rallies across Jammu region from the third week of December. Stating this, Party General Secretary Dilawar Mir said that party conventions and mass contact programme have been completed across Kashmir valley while adding that PDP is highly concerned over escalation in the level of corruption in various sectors of the state administration adding that the National Conference led Government has completely lost control of the situation. He said that except fake promises, government has nothing solid to offer to the people of the state. PDP leader said that due to weak leadership, there has been very poor utilization of the funds earmarked for various development projects. He said that the basic purpose of holding rallies and conventions was to awaken people against injustice being done with them by the National Conference led government. PDP leader also wanted the government of India to keep Omar Abdullah’s government on the watch list so that in case it failed to perform well a new political arrangement be hammered out for the interest of the people of the troubled state.
