NC minority cell constitutes working group

JAMMU, Dec 4: National Conference Minority Cell held a meeting of the core group members at its Headquarters in Bohri under the chairmanship of M K Yogi.
To facilitate working of the minority cell and make it an effective tool in dealing with the problems of the migrants, members stressed upon need for constituting a working group which will pursue the problems of the migrants with the concerned authorities on priority basis. In the meeting a nine-member group was nominated to constitute working group which will work under the leadership of Yogi.
It was also resolved in the meeting that migrants living in rental accommodations outside camps and exclusively dependent upon relief will be considered for allotment of quarters at Jagti Township. Core group members appreciated steps taken by government in issuing appointment orders to newly recruited migrant youth. Core group also requested government for advertising remaining 3000 posts for migrants and enhancement of Cash Relief to Rs. 10,000.
In the meeting, role of chief of the minority cell and MLC Vijay Bakaya in strengthening the minority cell and taking it to the grass root level, was appreciated. All the members expressed their full faith and satisfaction in the leadership of Vijay Bakaya under whose guidance and the minority cell has become a strong platform and the powerful voice of migrant community.
Prominent among those who spoke in the meeting included Bushan Lal Bhat, Ramesh Bharti, Raj Nath Fotedar, Som Nath Dhar, Pinkey Bhat, Karan Choudhry, Bansi Lal and Gopi Krishen
