| Physiotherapists’ dharna enters 13th day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 4: Jammu Kashmir Physiotherapist Association (JKPA) dharna entered 13th day on Sunday. JKPA took a strong exception to the activity of Police cane charging on female cadre of Physiotherapy Doctors when they were holding a peaceful protest in the march from Parade towards Civil Secretariat addressed by member and victims of lathicharge on peaceful rally Dr. Vimal Singh Manhas, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Dr. Samina Ashraf, Dr. Sandhya Raina along with all the members of JKPA.
Addressing the media on Sunday Vimal Manhas said, “Govt. should respect the democracy and work positively for the educated, elite class of the society who is today compelled to sit on the roads instead of working for the poor’s health who cannot afford the costly treatment in private clinics. He further warned that state government should come forward for a positive solution or otherwise be prepared for more intense response with the involvement of General Masses”.
Mean while Shamsher Singh Manhas State President, BJP, Sat Pal Sharma, Yudhvir Salathia also visited JKPA protest sight and extended their full support.
JKPA has also given the call for “Black Day” on 6th of December, Monday in support of their demands.
