‘Watan Ki Sair’ tour flagged in

JAMMU, Dec In its endeavour to promote national awareness amongst the youth an educational tour for the children was flagged in at Nowshera today.
The children visited Jammu-Ahmednagar- Pune-Mumbai as part of this tour. A Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Army’s Operation Sadhbhavana organized this 16-day long tour. They are now sharing their experiences with their friends and family members. The tour started on November 18 with 23 children and four teachers of local schools participating in it.
Commander Tithwal Brigade flagged in the tour amidst a large gathering comprising of children, parents and prominent civil administration officials. The children and their parents thanked the Army for organizing the visit, which had exposed the children to different cultures and development taking place in our country.
The Commander in his address impressed upon the people and the students to be progressive in their approach and cooperate with the army in its efforts towards the development of the society.
