Month long celebrations on Dewarika Shastri’s birthday | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 5:With an aim to propagate the teachings of Hindu Dharma amongst the believers, Shri Dewarika Nath Shastri Seva Sansthan, Jammu (Regd), has organized a month-long series of programmes on the occasion of birth anniversary of highly revered saint, Shree Dewarika Nath Shastri Ji Maharaj at the holy Samadhi Sthal in Sohanjana, Jammu from December 01, 2010. Shri Ganga Dhar Ji Maharaj, son and direct disciple of Shree Dewarika Nath Shastri Ji Maharaj, informed this during a media interaction here today. Giving details of the month-long programme, he apprised that as the birth anniversary celebrations has already been started from December 1 at the holy Samadhi Sthal in Sohanjana, where a highly learned Sanskrit scholar and close associate of Shastriji Maharaj, Shri Chaturvedi Ji has delivered sermons on Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta on December 1 and 2, while noted religious scholars and Bhajan singers, Shri Janak Ji Maharaj and Shri Ghanisham Ji performed Satsangh and delivered religious sermons on December 3 and 4. As per the ongoing and forthcoming programme schedule, a well known Kathavachak (preacher), Shri Kuldeep Shastri Ji shall deliver religious discourse on December 5. From December 6 to 10, famous preacher Shri Manohar Shastri Ji will regale the devotees with religious sermons. From December 11 to 13, Shri Suresh Shastri Ji shall give religious discourse and perform Satsangh, Bhajans etc. On December 14, Shri Tayagi Ji Maharaj from R S Pura, Mahant Madan Ji and Shri Babloo Pandit Ji shall deliver religious sermons and perform Satsangh. From December 15 to 21, Shri Ravinandan Shastri Ji from Varindaban shall give religious discourse on Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuraan. From December 22 to 30, Swami Buaditta Ji shall give discourses on Shree Ram Katha (Ramayana) for full 9 days. On December 25, the birthday of Shree Shastri Ji Maharaj, a grand Shobha Yatra shall be organized in the day, followed by mega Satsangh by Rasik Santo Ki Mandli throughout the night. And, on December 31, the last day of the event, a full day-night classical music and Bhajan Sangeet programme shall be solemnized, in which noted Sufi singers and other artists from Punjab shall perform.
