| Khajuria gets start black topping work | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 5: The inhabitants of Pacca Danga area finally heaved a sigh of relief today as the dug up road from old General Post Office (GPO) chowk to Chowk Chabutra chowk was black topped.
The black topping work got started by former state Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) chief and MLA Jammu (East) Ashok Khajuria.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Khajuria said that with the black topping of the road, he has fulfilled the promise made to the people of the area.
Senior BJP leader said that when Divisional Commissioner visited the place to see for himself the hardships being faced by residents of Chowk Chabutra, Pacca Danga, Jain Bazar and its adjoining areas, it was then that he had assured the people to get the work completed within one month and it has been accomplished exactly in the stipulated time frame. Khajuria said that he is always on the forefront to help the people of his constituency.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Chowk Chabutra-GPO road stretch was in a dilapidated condition for the last about six months due to its digging for laying the sewerage pipes.
