| JKPP to hold training prog at block level | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU DEC 05 The Jammu and Kashmir Panthers Party has chalked out a programme of holding training camps at block level for the youth and womenfolk in particular who are contesting the proposed Panchayat elections as Panch or Sarpanch.
The aim of these camps shall be to make them aware about their ‘rights and duties’ as elected member of Panchayat.
Addressing a meeting of Member of All India Panchayat Council (AIPC), Jugal Kishore Gupta, President, Jammu Kashmir Panchayat Parishad said that special efforts shall be made to motivate women folk to come forward in large number and contest these Panchayat elections so that real democracy is restored at grass root level.
Gopal Dass Sharma (Member AIPC) shall be the State Co-ordinator for these activities. Bharat Mahajan (JKPP, Gen. Secy.), Noor Mohd. Afzal (Vice President, Distt. Kathua), Surjit Rampaul and Gulam Mohd. Ganai (AIPC Members) and Rajiv Dutta (Press Secy.) shall be the other members of the team.
