| Papad factory raided, owner held | | | JAMMU: A papad factory, allegedly manufacturing poor quality product, was today raided at Janipura here and its owner arrested by police.
Police sources said Sandeep Kumar, son of Mohan Lal of Rehari, was engaged in the manufacturing of poor quality papad in an unauthorised factory at Janipura for the past sometime.
Acting on a tip-off, police today raided the factory and seized a large quantity of adulterated material used in the manufacturing of papad.
Some packets of manufactured papad were also seized. Sources said Sandeep had allegedly been packing poor quality papad in the packets of a reputed company.
He was lodged in the Janipura police station lock up where a case was registered against him.
