| esidential house gutted in fire | | | Kokernag (Anantnag), Nov 05 A residential house owned by a retired Superintendent of Police was completely gutted in fire, which broke out in the house in mysterious circumstances at Viloo hamlet, few kilometers from here, late last night. A police officer told News Agency of Kashmir that the fire broke out in the first floor of the double story building late last night, when most of the inmates were sleeping. One of the sons of house owner Manzoor Ahmed Malik, Retired SP, reportedly noticed smoke coming out of one of the room. The inmates immediately vacated the house, which till than had caught fire. The neighbourers of Malik and other villagers rushed to the area and tried to extinguish the fire. Through the structure suffered extensive damage, the neighbouring houses were saved from catching fire by the timely action of the villagers, reports reaching here revealed. |
