Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 5: The Minister of School Education Peerzada Mohammed Syed today snubbed the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah saying that Kashmir was integral part of India and the accession of the state with Union of India was unchallengeable.
The Minster was speaking at a function held at CM's residence here this afternoon in connection with distribution of appointment orders to displaced Kashmiri youth.
Peerzada who was sitting along with Chief Minister on dais said that no body on earth can challenge the accession of the state with India which is a historical fact.
Maintaining that the situation was not conducive in Kashmir Valley for the return of the Pandits Peerzada said that the displaced people can only return to Valley when ministers can move without security in Kashmir.
He however made it clear that Kashmir was incomplete without Pandits and ``we all have to work together in restoration of the peace in trouble-torn Valley''.
However the Chief Minister made it clear that the employment package to displaced Kashmiri youth will not be linked to Pandits return to Valley as the two are the separate issues. Allaying the fears of the Kashmiri Pandits , Omar Abdullah said the appointment of the displaced youth can't be clubbed with the return as the two are separate issues. He however said that the Government is initiating a process to this effect.
Mr Abdullah said that employment package is a beginning towards the return of the community. Chief Minister while reiterating that Kashmir is incomplete without the Pandits said ``we all have to work together for restoration of peace and composite culture in the Valley''. ``Once the normalcy is fully restored in Kashmir I hope that no body will like to live in Jagati quarters and entire community will return to Valley'', he added.
He also highlighted the economic angle of the PM's employment package saying that the credit goes to UPA chairperson Mrs Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minster, Dr Manmohan Singh for implementation of the package.
The function was attended by Minster of Relief Revenue, Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla, Minister of School Education Peerzada Mohammed Syed, Minister for Medical Education R S Chib, MoS Revenue, Nasir Aslam Wani and some KP leaders.
Meanwhile the Government has decided to post all the displaced youth at district headquarters in the Valley for the security reasons. The secretary GAD Basharat Dar has informed this to some KP leaders here this evening. He while allaying the fears of the Pandit leaders said that the Government has taken a decision to spot the newly recruited KP youth at district headquarters.
However according to sources the Government is also receptive on the KPs demand of settling them at a single cluster in Valley in view of the prevailing disturbances in Kashmir. The Government ahs already started construction of clusters at different districts for the settlement of the community and it has not also said not to the KPs demand for the settlement of the entire community at a single place in the Valley, sources added.
