Football League: Sainik Colony wins Jr Division tie | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Sports & Allied News JAMMU, December 06: Sainik Colony Club defeated Young Churchill-A by two goals to nil to consolidate their position in the super league round of junior division football league tournament underway at Mini Stadium, Parade, here today. Leading by a goal in the first half when Vivek Choudhary netted the ball in the eighth minute, Sainik Colony missed number of opportunities to improve their score in the second half. However, Mohinder Singh managed second goal for the team in the 52nd minute to make it a 2-0 win. Today’s match was officiated by Harmil Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Vinay Mooman and Fiestus Sotra. Meanwhile, the super league match in senior division between Mussa Club and Vijay Club could not be completed due to some dispute over referee’s decision at GGM Science College here. Unhappy with the preparations on ground and decision of the centre referee over a goal, Mussa Club did not allow the next scheduled match between Young Hero and Young Rovers to take place. |
