| PG Arts faces Trikuta College in hockey final | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, December 06: The combined side of Post Graduate (PG) Departments of University of Jammu (JU) shall be playing against Trikuta Degree College in the final of inter-college men’s hockey tomorrow at K K Hakhu Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the semi-finals, played today, PG trounced Government Degree College Kathua in tie breaker 8-6. Earlier, in stipulated time the match ended in a 4-4 draw. Captain Chander Bhushan (4th), Ranveet Singh (25th and 33rd), Rakesh Kumar (55th) were the scorers from winners. From Kathua College, Vikram Singh (12th, 17th), Manpreet Singh (20th), Rohit Sharma (53rd) were goal scorers.
Later, in tie breaker, Chander Bhushan, Harinderpal Singh, Ranveet Singh and Harsimran emerged successful from winners PG while Raman Kumar and Abhinander Singh could only converted penalties into goals from Kathua College.
In another semi-final, Trikuta College defeated Government SPMR College of Commerce by three goals to two.
Parminder Singh scored two goals for Trikuta College netting the ball in the seventh and 26th minute while Sukhvinder Singh sounded the board in the 34th minute. From Commerce College, Maninder Singh (38th) and Vishal Saini (42nd) reduced the margin.
Today’s semi-finals were officiated by Jasbir Singh, Jagjeet Singh, Harmanan Singh and PG Singh. |
