JJSF rues rising unemployment, holds protest

JAMMU, Dec 6: Jammu Joint Students’ Federation (JJSF) today held protest demonstrations in various educational institutions including Jammu University, GGM Science College, GDC Ploura, Govt Polytechnic, SPMR College of Commerce, GGM Science evening college, Bhargwa College Samba, Govt HSS Samba, GDC Samba and GDC Kathua.
The protest was staged against the government on the issue of rising unemployment in Jammu province.
Early in the morning all the activist of JJSF gathered at JU and held a protest demonstration against the govt. The protest was led by Verinder Singh.
In SPMR College of Commerce students boycotted their classes under the leadership of Ishan Choudhary, Arun Jamwal and Ankit Gupta. Students gathered at main gate and raised slogans against the government.
After this protester students took out a protest rally and entered in GGM Science College.
In GGM Science College, the protest was led by Sanjay Sharma, Jyoti Choudhary and Rahul Ghai. All the protesting students then gathered at Shaheedi Sthal.
Addressing the students, Partap singh Jamwal (State Sr. vice president JJSF) said that on one side the unemployment in Jammu is rising exponentially and on other side the government is totally unaware of this matter. The various ITI Diploma holders, Physiotherapists, unemployed engineers, J&K Home Guards Association and thousands of unemployed PG Students are protesting for their rights, they have become so helpless that they have no other way left except raising their voice in the form of protest
Jamwal strongly condemned the rehabilitation policy of government favouring anti-national elements. He raised a question that why the anti-national elements are being given preference over the well educated, well qualified youth of Jammu?
