| HC allowed Priyanka to go with her mother | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, December: 06 (JNF):- In the much publicized inter-religious marriage, Justice Sunil Hali of J&K High Court Jammu Wing after the statement of Priyanka Pandoh, allowed her to go with her mother.
In pursuance of the order dated November 16, 2010, the SSP Jammu produced Priyanka Pandoh in the Court. She stated that she has married Mohd Aslam Khan of her own choice, but has not accepted Islam. She is ready to divorce Mohd Aslam Khan, in case he so wants. She further stated that she wants to go with her mother and Mohd Aslam Khan should not harras her and her family members.
The court after hearing the parties observed that in view of the statement made by the Priyanka Pandoh, the present petition is rendered infructuous and is dismissed. Priyanka is at liberty to go with her mother, Court further directed SSP Jammu and SHO Concerned who are present in Court to provide security to the Priyanka and her mother. Court also examined the statement of facts filed by SSP Jammu, in view the stand taken in the statement of facts, Court do not feel it desirable to continue with the proceedings initiated against the said officer vide order dated November 16, 2010 and are accordingly drooped.
