| Chib inspects progress of work on super specialty hospital | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 6: Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services and Sports, R S Chib today inspected Super Specialty Hospital coming up here at Reshamgarh colony. Chib took stock of the progress on the execution of tertiary care mega health project. Expressing dissatisfaction over the slow pace of execution, Chib asked the executing agency to accelerate tempo and ensure completion of project without any further delay. He said the cost of this vital health project has been revised at Rs 138 crore and government is keen to make it operational as soon as possible. On completion of the prestigious project, Chib said that state-of-the -art facilities will be available for patients in need of neuro-surgery, cardiothoracic and uro-surgery. The facility, he said would obviate patients of Jammu division from visiting other states or New Delhi for availing super specialty medicare. The Minister was accompanied by Principal Government Medical College, Jammu Dr. Rajinder Singh, Director Family Welfare/Co-coordinator Super Specialist Hospital, Dr Rakesh Khajuria, Chief Engineer, PWD, BL Sharma, Managing Director, JKPCC, Tehseen Mustafa. Earlier the Minister also inspected the work on Psychiatric Hospital, Rs 1.5 crore project of Indoor Stadium behind the Boys Hostel of Government Medical College and Rs 45 lakh project of Yog Centre near Government Medical College.
