| Records of Horticulture Directorate decays | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 6: On one side government is claiming that all of its departments are working properly and maintaining the proper records of each and every thing. But on the other hand the record section of horticulture department is presenting the real picture of government records.
In the office of Directorate of Horticulture, Talab Tillo large amount of record which is very important for references and other purposes, are abandoned and lying here and there in and outside the office.
Instead of maintaining and preserving that very record, department has kept his record in worst condition as a scrap material.
The top floor of the horticulture department is used as Godown for record. In this floor construction work is going on without shifting the record to other place, due to which the record is decaying.
Pertinently, there is a proper procedure to maintain records in record section of a department and kept under proper custody of an employee having full details of the record. But no-one is looking for the record properly in the Talab Tillo office of Horticulture department. The condition of the record section is that anyone from outside can not even enter but can also take away the record. It was also noticed that the workers working out are also playing with the records.
