| ICAI organizes CAs sub-regional conference | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 6: The J&K Branch of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) hosted a Sub-Regional Conference under the auspicious of Northern Indian Regional Council (NIRC) here today.
On the occasion, the branch also felicitated Amarjit Chopra, President ICAI, and Ramaswamy. Vice President ICAI, Atul Kumar Gupta, Chairman NIRC, Charanjot Singh Nanda and Pankaj Tyagee, Central Council Members, ICAI and other executive members of NIRC.
Speaking on the occasion, .Amarjit Chopra, President, TCAI highlighted the various initiatives taken by the Institute for its members and students like International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Disciplinary Mechanism and Capacity building exercise for small and medium practitioners, MoU with United Stock Exchange (USE), Project Parivartan, Residential Programme on Professional Skills & Development, Strengthening of the Examination System.
Amarjit Chopra also assured the branch that as soon as branch completes all the formalities for acquisition of land, the ICAI will extend full financial & technical support for construction of building of J&K branch at Jammu.
