| Day light theft in Miran Sahib | | | JAMMU: In a broad day light theft, burglars struck at a house and decamped with gold jewellery and some cash worth lakhs of rupees in Miran Sahib area today.
According to police sources, thieves struck at Dr Gurjeet Singh's residence at about 11:30 am and decamped with cash worth Rs 22 thousand and 40 tolas of gold which is valued at about Rs 9 lakh.
The family members were outside to attend a function in a Bishnah based school when the incident took place.
When contacted SP Headquarters JS Johar said that after getting information a police team reached the spot and carried out the detailed investigation.
A dog squad was also pressed into service to collect the vital clues. Police have got some key evidences and the same have been handed over to the FSL team for further investigation, SP maintained. |
