Situation in Kmr worse than that of 1953 : PK | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 7: Panun Kashmir (PK) has termed the present situation in Kashmir worse than that of 1953 when the Union government came with a heavy hand to tackle the situation then, as against now, when it is with an abysmally weak and politically bankrupt leadership. In a meeting of the Political Affairs Committee, PK, held here today to take stock of the current political situation of J&K, the Panun Kashmir Chairman Dr Agnisheker said that it was high time, the nationalist forces woke up to vehemently resist and oppose such policies, which covertly promote the diabolical agenda of the separatists, communalists and Pakistani elements, a form of which was witnessed in Delhi, Chandigarh, Kolkota etc; where the patriotic forces resisted and rejected the strategy of the Hurriyat leaders, who are on a mission of spreading sedition and campaign against India. He further said that it was due to the pampering and appeasement policy of the Centre, that, now these anti India forces are emboldened to take the entire Indian society for a ride by fearlessly speaking against India and orchestrating Azadi. The meeting unanimously castigated the terrorists’ rehabilitation policy of the J&K government, where, under those, who had gone to Pakistan occupied Kashmir and Pakistan, to get subversive and armed training and who fought against India, killed security personnel, civilians, women and children; were slated to be granted amnesty and rewarded with financial aid and rehabilitation. Their wives and children too, are made eligible to be adequately benefited, under the so called Rehabilitation Policy. Dr Agnishekhar expressed indignation and concern over the obnoxious utterances of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, about the accession of the state with Indian Union, brazenly endorsed by the Home Minister Chidambaram, by saying Kashmir a unique problem, with a unique History and Geography, demanding a unique solution. This amounted to a malapropos thinking and could prove suicidal, if pursued in action. The committee took strong exception to and demanded rescinding of the reprehensive moves of the state, to keep the return to the valley and the employment package of the KP youth, congruent to each other. The meeting also castigated the assertion of the 11 member team of MPs, film producers by recently calling on Yaseen Malik, the terrorist turned political leader.
