| BJP mobilizes party cadre for Dec 24 rally | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 7: To mobilize the party activists for the scheduled public rally to be held on December 24, BJP State President Shamsher singh Manhas along with programme management incharge Jugal Kishore (MLA) chaired a meeting of district office bearers and Mandal Presidents of Akhnoor districts at Nagbani.
Manhas, while speaking on the significance of the rally, said that it will be a historical event when entire top leadership of BJP will be in city of temples on December 24. He said the party in the state has been working for strengthening the nationalist forces and agitating over such policies which pose threat to the unity and integrity of the country. Simultaneously, our high command at New Delhi too has been taking serious note of the developments in the state. Our national leadership and always stood like a rock behind the state unit as well as the people of the state whenever needed.
Manhas said that the recent utterances of the chief minister over the issue of accession, decision to rehabilitate the militants, continued discrimination with Jammu and delay in holding delimitation are a few burning issues on which BJP has decided to educate the people and garner their support. He said by organizing such a massive rally on December 24, the BJP leadership want to make it clear to the state as well as the UPA at the Centre that no more injustice and insult of constitution will be tolerated.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, in his address, asked the party activists holding important responsibilities in their respective areas, to put more efforts in the coming days in order to ensure the maximum participation of the people.
