Autobiography of Agha Ashraf released

JAMMU, Dec 7: “Kuch To Lekhie Ke Log Kehte Hain” an autobiography of reputed educationalist and intellectual Agha Ashraf Ali was today released in a simple but an impressive function organized by Urdu department of Jammu University held here.
Book release function was organized in the Prof. Gian Chand Jain seminar hall and was attended by students, scholars, Intellectuals and close associates and friends of Agha Ashraf Ali. Prof. Badri Raina graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Reputed Urdu and Kashmiri writer and MLC Mohammed Yousuf Taing was the guest of honour.
Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik also graced the presidium. At the very outset, HOD Urdu Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik threw light on the life and works of Agha Ashraf. He described him not only an academician but also a man par excellence. While speaking on the occasion, Mohammed Yousuf Taing described Agha Ashraf a symbol of Kashmiriyat having a secular bent of mind who has contributed a lot in maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood through his writings as well as through his speeches.
Prof. Badri Raina in his emotional speech discussed his close association with Agha Ashraf. Speaking on the occasion the author of the book Agha Ashraf in his witty style informed the audience about his family background. He informed that he was brought up in a highly respectable family of Kashmir; he also threw light on his life style.
