| Bhalla inaugurates 3-day employment fair | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 7 : Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla inaugurated 3-day Employment Fair at Government Higher Secondary School, Dooru-Shahabad in Anantnag district today.
Addressing on the occasion, the Minister said that the government is committed to provide all basic amenities to the people including those living in far-flung areas. He said that several state and centrally sponsored schemes are being implemented for balanced development of all the three regions of the State.
Bhalla said that to create employment opportunities for the educated un-employed youth under various employment oriented schemes, the department of employment is organizing counseling through employment fairs in urban as well as rural areas.
Bhalla asked the people to attend these camps and get themselves acquainted about various employment oriented schemes.
The Minister said that Centre Government under the leadership of UPA Chairmanship of Sonia Gandhi and the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh is making liberal funding for the development of the State.
MLA, Dooru, G. A. Mir who also accompanied the Minister appealed the people to take full advantage of these employment schemes and establish their income generating units to earn their livelihood.
Commissioner Secretary, Revenue, Aijaz Iqbal, Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, S. Jaipal Singh and Deputy Director Anantnag were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, the Minister inspected the stalls set up by various departments on the occasion to provide necessary printed material about employment oriented programmes.
