| Mangat inaugurates orthopaedic camp, Municipal Park | | | JAMMU, NOVEMBER 05 - Lauding the efforts of Dr Hardas Singh Orthopedic Hospital and Super Speciality Research Centre Amritsar for holding free orthopedic camp for the poor patients of Jammu and Kashmir, the Minister for Health and Medical Education Mr Mangat Ram Sharma has said that this will provide an opportunity to the poor orthopaedic patients who could not afford treatment in such reputed hospitals and added that super service towards the humanity is to serve the needy and suffering people of the society. He was interacting with doctors and patients after inaugurating a free orthopaedic camp at New Plot Jammu. The camp was organized by Dr Hardas Singh Orthopaedic Hospital and Super Speciality Research Centre Amritsar in collaboration with Abrol Medicos New Plot Jammu. Dr Parvinder Singh Sandhu along with team of doctors treated about 450 ortho patients and provided medicines, x-ray facility and specialised consultation free of cost. The team of doctors included Dr Manpreet, Dr Ashish and Dr Sanjeev Sharma. Ramanbhel pharmaceuticals Intast and Athen labs extended great help to the campers by providing free medicines to the patients. Later, Mr Sharma dedicated to public a municipal park at Ward No-4 Janipur. The Minister along with team of officers also visited Patoli Mangotrian and Ploura and take stock of development works in the area. He directed Vice Chairman JDA to take immediate steps to demarcate and fence JDA land to avoid any encroachment. He said this land would be utilized for construction of community hall, PHC, School building and park in the area. He also directed R&B authorities to construct culvert over the nallah crossing main road Ploura near Soap Factory. Vice Chairman JDA Mr A. K Parmar, Municipal Commissioner Jammu Mr Vinod Sharma, senior officers of various departments and prominent citizens accompanied the Minister during the visit. |
