Gandhi Global Peace march reaches J&K

Kathua Dec 7: The peace march led by the Gandhi Parikarama under the banner of Gandhi Global Peace reached Jammu and Kashmir along with a large number of activists and was warmly welcomed by the Minister of State of Finance, and Cooperative Manohar Lal Sharma at Lakhanpur Kathua here today.
The peace march that started from Kanyakumari on the 30th October will go up to 30th January 2011 under the leadership of the chief activist of the Gandhi Parikarama P.Murthi to spread the messages of peace and harmony to keep the human society more relevant and prosperous.
On the welcome occasion of the peace march at Lakhanpur the chief activist of the Gandhi Parikarama P.Murthi said that the peace march would cover almost all the parts and corners of the India as well world and till date it has conducted more than 1000 programmes in the country to defeat the evils such as unrest, violence and corrupt practices which have been deep rooted in the entire human society.
The motive is to strengthen the national unity and integrity among each and every religion, cast and color of India and eradicate the danger of terrorism from entire country. Addressing the people on the occasion the Minister of State of Finance, and Cooperative Manohar Lal Sharma warmly extended the greetings from entire state for coming to the J&K state with a great motive to spread the messages of peace and prosperity in such a state which is already suffering from the problems of militancy due to which lacs of people including security forces have lost their lives and the people are the major victims. The peace march was attended by large numbers activist namely. Bola Sirinivasan, Rajinder Babu,.K Nagarjun, M.H Gandhi, A. Karunakaran, T. Kumar, A. RajShekhar, Balwant Sing, Runa Bose, Savita Malpani, and Karan Singh.
In the welcome ceremony the ex- president of municipal council Kathua Naresh Sharma, Vishal Malgar, Swami Parmanand, Rtd lecturer Angrez Singh, Sultan, Gopal, and others were present.
