| Citizen forum hails dissenting note of SFC members | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 7: Citizen Forum has hailed dissenting note by two members of State Finance Commission (SFC) alongside their recommendation for granting regional autonomy in development and administration to all three regions of the State and setting up of separate planning boards.
In a press statement issued here today, President Citizen Forum R.K.Chadha has said that forum has been for long demanding such an arrangement wherein none of three distinct regions of the state have reason to complaint of discrimination and raw deal in financial matters and development activities.
He added that the dissenting note by two members of the SFC only vindicates his stand that separate planned and non-planned funds should be ear marked for the three regions. Chadha further said that the feeling of discrimination and neglect in Jammu and Ladakh regions is adding to inter-regional tensions and bickering, leading to mutual distrust.
Chadha demanded that the elected MLA’s from each of the three regions should form the members of regional autonomous developmental administrative boards and they should take decisions about spending and developmental activities in their respective regions.
