| Two day workshop on Communal Harmony concludes | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 7: Two day’s workshop on communal harmony organized by National Service Scheme (NSS) units of G.G.M Science College Jammu concluded here today.
On the opening day of workshop, chairperson of NSS units Prof. (Dr.) M.S.Baloria in his address laid stress upon the volunteers to observe communal harmony and emphasized upon national integration. He highlighted to strengthen bonds of units and affinity between different religions. He advised volunteers to follow Gandhian Principals. He stressed volunteers to maintain healthy relation between people of different regions.
In the second session of workshop, slogan writing competition was organized in which 25 NSS volunteers participated. Volunteers express their views through the medium of slogans which were very impressive & fruitful.
On the 2nd day of workshop volunteers were deputed to different parts of the city collect funds for the children’s affected due to communal violence. Volunteers were divided into various groups which were led by senior group leaders. In the concluding session of workshop, volunteers shared their experiences gained during the collection of funds.
Workshop was organized under the commandership of Mohammed Arif and Sumit Dogra, Parveen, Ankush Verma, Ashwani, Rahul, Atul, Rohit Kumar, Navjot Bakshi, Prikshit, Preeti, Sahil, Rifat, Anu and Anjum.
