BJP protests against CM, burns effigy

UDHAMPUR, Dec 7: Bharatiya Janata Party unit of district Udhampur today held protest and burnt effigy of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah against his controversial statement over Jammu and Kashmir’s accession with India.
BJP and BJYM workers led by state Secretary Pawan Gupta and BJYM Secretary Advocate Dinkar Gupta assembled at Gole market near fountain chowk and burnt the effigy of Omar Abdullah late in the evening today. Talking to media persons BJYM leader Dinkar Gupta said that Omar Abdullah's statement is anti-national, anti-India and communally sensitive. He demanded dismissal of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah alleging that he had violated oath of office as chief minister.
Addressing workers State Secretary of BJP Pawan Gupta lambasted CM for ignoring unemployed youth of the state including RET, Rehbar-E-Taleem Teachers, R-E-Z agriculture technocrats, Daily wagers, WSS volunteers who are performing their duties on meager wages. Those who participated in the protest included Soam Raj Khajuria, Sunny Gupta and Anil Arora. .
