| PWD Doda serves notices to encroachers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT

Early Times Doda DEC 07: Acting hard against the land grabbers in Doda, Public Works Department (PWD) under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Farooq Ahmed Khan served notices to the people to respond up to 14th Dec to register their objections before Tehsildar Doda either face action.
The district administration has started the encroachment drive in housing colony Akramabad, Nagri, Bharthroad and Dessa road since the mid of this year in the town owing to the road constriction and frequent traffic jams.
In this connection when DC Doda Farooq Ahmed Khan was contacted he confirmed the news and said that people who has objections regarding their markings can approach revenue department and they will satisfy them. He further said that those who deny from accepting notices, their notices will be pasted on their walls.
However people have other tale to say, they said that district administration has appointed a neutral team who played bias and give marking on only one side and has changed the alignment of roads with objective to save some blue eyed persons in the town. They further said that it is fourth or fifth time that marking has been done and nothing has been done. But this is the first time notices have been served which has created suspicion among the people towards the earlier markings done by revenue department, added people. They alleged that this time the so called neutral team even ignored the documents shown by the owner of the land and measure the land on their own will behave as an autocrat. People said that they will approach the court to get justice.
