| DIG holds public meeting at Mahore | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Dec 7: To take stock of problems being faced by the public of Mahore area, the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Udhampur-Reasi Range, Gulzar Singh Slathia accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police ,Reasi., Anand Jain held a public meeting at Police Station Mahore, in district Reasi, yesterday.
A large number of respectable citizens of area, police officers and Jawans of District Police, Reasi were present.
During the meeting, the DIG impressed upon the police- Public coordination to update their professional skills and collection of relevant intelligence in order to deal effectively with the serious challenges of law and order. Slathia stressed upon them to serve with more dedication and missionary zeal so as to win the confidence of the common masses. He also issued necessary guidelines and instructions to the Police personnel in discharge of their duties.
Citizens of the area apprised the DIG about their problems and demands. Participants demanded that on spot special recruitment be conducted as was done in 1998 besides conversion of SPOs, VDC members who are doing excellent job in anti militancy as constables, follower in police department.
