12/10/2010 8:24:49 AM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 9: Describing the recent utterances of the state Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on the floor of the house on accession of the state with India as the most retrograde, un-enlightened and against the historical facts, BJP state president Shamsher Singh Manhas has said that no one will be allowed to work against the total integration of the state with rest of the country.
He was addressing a meeting of Incharge organisers of the planned Maha Rally of the party to be held at Parade Ground, Jammu on Dec. 24.
The meeting was also attended by BJP J&K Seh-Prabhari Sardar R.P. Singh.
Manhas warned the participants of the meeting about the nefarious designs of those elements who are not comfortable with the complete integration of the state with the country.
Calling such utterances of various valley based politicians as a mode of blackmail and exploitation of the nations and sowing the seeds of discord, hatred and disharmony between various sections of the society and regions of the state, Manhas stressed the need for giving a loud and clear nationalist message to such elements and serve as a warning to them.
He said that the proposed Maha Rally must serve as a reassurance to all the nationalistic people of the entire state who are worried and demoralized because of the conduct of the valley based political elements.
Speaking in the same vein Sardar R.P. Singh pointed that the political scene of the entire J&K state is in a perilous state because of lax and confused policy of ruling setup at the state and centre.
He also pointed to the recent statement of a prominent Congress Cabinet Minister recommending freedom for valley as indicative of their totally confused and casual approach to the politics of the state. This attitude is in fact other side of the same coin that is revealed by the utterances of the Chief Minister in the assembly.
Singh appealed to the participants to make entire two days planned programme of the party in Jammu a grand success so that any person entertaining any day dreams of loosening the bonds of the state with the rest of the country do not make such remarks in future.
Member national executive & former state president Nirmal Singh exhorted the participants to treat the planned 2-day party programme as a part of the glorious struggle of the party for total integration of the state with the rest of the country which it has been waging since 1947.
Prominent among those who were present in the meeting Jugal Kishore Sharma, Satish Sharma, Sat Sharma, Yudhvir Sethi, Ramesh Arora, Nirmal Kamal, Sanjay Baru, Jaideep Sharma, Munish Khajuria, Sanjay Khanna, Subash Gupta, Rajinder Sharma, Subash Jandial, Surinder Choudhary and Surinder Gupta.
