J&K minister pleads people not to encroach govt land | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 9: Minister for Revenue Raman Bhalla has said that government has formulated a comprehensive plan to develop all the rural pockets by providing all basic facilities at par with urban centers.
This was said by the Minister while addressing a large gathering at Ajeet Nagar in Upper Gaddigarh, here this morning. Bhalla apprised the people that a comprehensive plan has been formulated for upgradation and expansion of Jammu airport by providing all infrastructural facilities to the passengers. He said that there was no constraint of funds as UPA Government headed by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has provided liberal funding to the state government for completing ongoing projects in a time bound manner.
He said that coalition government is making all out efforts to fulfill the aspirations of the people adding that ‘it is the duty of every citizen to cooperate with government agencies so that the projects in their areas could be completed within stipulated time frame. Minister said that government has earmarked Rs. 19 crore for upgradation of Landoi Choi nallah from Gandhi Nagar to Railway Station and Rani Bagh to Balol nallah adding that after release of funds under Loan-2 from Asian Development Bank, the upgradation work including construction of culverts on different location would be started.
He appealed the people not to encroach government land adding that these spaces are meant for construction of roads, schools, tube wells, lanes and drains besides government offices. He said that instructions were issued to the concerned authorities to issue notices to illegal occupants for vacation of land, otherwise vacate the land forcefully. At Govindpura in Old Satwari, the Minister also visited Ziarat of Hazrat Gousel Azem Mee Wale Ke Mazar (Roza) and paid obeisance. |
