| State TT Championship gets underway | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, December 10: Organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Table Tennis Association, the 32nd State and Inter-District Table Tennis Championship goy underway today at Indoor Complex, here.
The six-day long competition was declared open by Commissioner Secretary Finance, Sudhanshu Pandey in a well attended function this afternoon.
In his inaugural address, the chief guest wished the young boys and girls success in the championship and advised them to play the game in true spirit of sportsmanship.
About 300 players representing different districts shall be competing for the top honours in this competition.
Prominent among others present were working president of the association, VK Magoo Sidharath Sharma, Ajay Sharma, general secretary, Rajesh Sharma, treasurer, Sanjeev Gupta, Sunil Sharma, Sheetal Gandotra, Rajan Sharma, Ashok Singh Satish Gupta, table tennis coach and secretary, District Poonch Table Tennis Association, Salim Bandey.
Meanwhile, according to the organizers, the first round of competition in mini and sub-junior categories shall start from tomorrow morning.
