| North zone elocution contest at SKUAST | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 10: North Zone Inter Agricultural Universities Elocution Contest-2010 was organized at Sher - e – Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST of Jammu) at Chatha Campus.
Three Universities namely National Diary Research Institute (NDRI) Karnal, SKUAST of Kashmir and SKUAST of Jammu participated in the contest. The topic of the elocution contest was “ Soil, Plant, Animal Health: Safety and Security” which is the theme of the 10th Agricultural Science Congress being held at National Bureau of Fish Genetics and Resources , Lucknow during February 10-12, 2011.
The participants made ten minutes power point presentation followed by question answer session. Fatima Bano of SKUAST Kashmir and Sanjolly Gupta of SKUAST of Jammu won the top two honours and they shall represent the North Zone in the National Elocution Contest coinciding with 10th Agricultural Science Congress. Programme was attended by Prof. Ajay Kaul, Dean Faculty of Agriculture, faculty members and students of the university.
Dr. A. R. Nazki, Dean FVSc and AH, chaired the judging panel with Prof. S.P.S. Dutta (University of Jammu) and Dr. Kuldeep Singh. Participation certificates and prizes were distributed by Prof. R. M. Bhagaht, Director Resident Instructions, SKUAST of Jammu. The programme was conducted by Dr. S.B. Bakshi, DDSW, SKUAST-J, and vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Rajinder Peshin, Associate Professor, SKUAST of Jammu.
