| JU student council appeals for participation | | Display your talent | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 10: Students Cultural Council, the only statutory body of the university of Jammu today in a press conference appealed to all the concerning quarters particularly to the students to contribute their self in making “DISPLAY YOUR TALENT” a success.
Interacting with media persons, secretary of SCC Gagandeep Sharma opined that DYT is the only event where one can explore his/her talent and provide an opportunity of cultural exchange so that it becomes our basic duty to make this event a success. He also urged upon the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Varun Sahni to make it compulsory for every college to send the teams for the participation, as it is seen from the last few years, the colleges from Poonch, Rajouri, Doda, Kishtwar and Bhaderwah do not participate in the contest.
Besides this, in a bid to revitalize functioning of the council, Gagandeep also made some appointment in which Madhvi Sharma of English Department has been appointed as coordinator film club, Keshav Sharma of Psychology Department, as coordinator Theatre Club, Renu Rani of Political Science as coordinator of Music & Fine arts. Also, Joginder Thakur, Nitin Sharma, Veenu Sharma have been appointed as Executive members.
