| Thief arrested at Airport, cash golden ornaments recovered | | |

In a record time police today solved a theft case with arrest of a notorius thief hailing from Sangrur, Paunjab and recovered golden ornaments and cash worth about Rs.1.50 lakhs from his possession.
According to reports, acting on at tip-off, Satwari police under the supervision of Dy. SP, Gandhi Nagar, Shiv Dev Singh Chouhan arrested one Vijay Kumar of Punjab, working as waiter at the Jammu Airport.
During the accused had recently de-camped with Rs 60,000 in cash and some golden ornaments from the residence of Dr. Sangam W/o Flt. Lt Sukhwinder Singh residing in officers quarters at Airport.
During the interrogation he confessed that he have stolen Rs.30, 000 and some golden ornaments from the residence of doctor.
On search police recovered Rs.60, 000 in cash and golden ornaments worth Rs 90,000 on spot from his possession. The accused reportedly involved in various other theft cases in Airport quarters.
