Ramban BJP gears up for Lalkar Rally

Jammu, Dec 11: The BJP has intensified its activity in Ramban assembly constituency to gear up party activists and general public to participate in ‘Lalkar Rally” which is going to be organized at parade ground Jammu this month on Dec. 24.
In their extensive tour the state vice president and former MLA Bali Bhagat addressed series of public as well as workers meeting at Thanda-pani-chirota, Assar, Kastigarh,Doda and district president Ramesh Kumar Sharma addressed meetings at Jhatgali, Dhar-Dundrath, Sildhar, Halla and Juwag respectively. Both the leaders informed that near about one thousand activists will participate in the Rally at Jammu.Leaders were accompanied by district functionaries Vijay Kumar Thakur,Shashi Pal Goswami, Rash pal Singh,Kuldip Singh, Harji Lal, Nar Singh,Asgar Ali,Pershotam Singh, Omkar Singh and others.
After interacting with the people the senior BJP leader Bali Bhagat criticized the congress-NC coalition Govt for neglecting Ramban assembly constituency in all spheres of development, resulting in more hardships to the people of this backward and hilly area.
Bali Bhagat said that 98% schools, allopathic dispensaries and other Hospitals are understaffed, while as majority of villages of Ramban district are facing shortage of drinking water facility. He expresses his dismay that due to lack of funds to the PDD sector for rural-electrification, has created more hardships to the people of Chirota, Mari,Dhar and other left out villages in the area.
The BJP leader is highly critical that People of Ramban district are depositing their WAT in other district at Doda, is not justified and demanded that WAT office should be setup at Ramban for public convenience. He also appealed state BSNL authorities for setting up of a office at district head quarter Ramban for collection of revenue because the locals are facing difficulties to deposit their monthly revenue at Batote.
The former MLA also charged the state coalition Govt for adopting different yardsticks on regional lines for paying compensation of land and residential houses which comes under the upgradation scheme of NH-1A under prime minister’s yojna. He pointed out that Rs. 2.65 lac per kanal land compensation is being paid to the people of Jammu region, particularly in Ramban area and Rs. 8 lac per kanal land is being paid to the people right from opposite side of Jawahar tunnel in the valley. He added that compensation of Rs. 610 and Rs. 253 per sq.ft.for A and D grade residential houses respectively is being paid in Jammu region and Rs. 1320 and Rs.1000 per sq. ft .for A and D grade is being paid in the valley.
Ramesh Kumar Sharma alleged that sub-standard and poor quality of ration meant for mid-day-meals in schools of Ramban district is a threat for students health, which needs to be checked at higher level. He said Govt. should either provide quality ration or should stop the mid-day-meal scheme. He alleged that Block Development office Ramban is issuing work orders on political consideration and the genuine people are being debarred in NREGA and other rural development schemes. He expressed his concern over non-disbursement of old age pension and monetary assistance to the disabled and handicapped persons and pleaded that funds for the purpose be made available to the district immediately.
