| Kisaan movement condemns contract farming move | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA DEC 11: Kisaan Movement, a Wing Nature-Mankind Friendly Global Movement, condemned the state coalition government decision to bring the contract farming system in the state.
The Kisaan Movement members said that the contract farming meaned to snatch the agriculture land from the hands of farmers and to sale it in the hands of big capitalists and corporate players of the society which is a part of conspiracy to confiscate the agriculture land of the poor farmers due to which farmer community has to face several crises.
In a statement, they said that agriculture sector was already in crisis and on the verge of extinction due to the anti farmers , anti nature and anti land policies on agriculture like the implementation of the chemical technology on the name of green revolution of the government to appease their capitalist masters who intensively plundered the farmers by selling them chemicals
The Kisaan Movement urged the state government not to take any initiative to implement the contract farming which is most dangerous for farmer community
The leaders who addressed the press conference included convener of the Kisaan Movement Hurmat Singh, general secretary of the Kisaan Movement Rtd Bank Manager Daya Ram Sharma and the tehsil incharge of the Kisaan Movement Karan Singh .
