Wrong policies of govt add woes of people: PDP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, 11 December 2010: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said that coalition government has failed to solve day today problems of the people because this regime has been pursuing anti-poor policies. Addressing a function organized by Rafiq Malik in which over a hundred youth, most of them from National Conference joined PDP, PDP general secretary Thakur Balbir Singh pointed out that during the last two years Omar Abdullah government has done nothing to solve problems of the people. He said that instead of mitigating woes of the people this government has further compounded miseries of the common masses by its misdeeds. Thakur Balbir Singh reminded the gathering that during the last assembly elections the National Conference had made lot of promises with the people but after attaining the power not even a single promise has been fulfilled. He especially mentioned towards promise of the National Conference to provide government jobs to alteast one member of a each family. Pointing towards prevailing anarchy and nepotism in the State, PDP general secretary said that this government has been repeating the same blunders which were committed by the previous National Conference regime from 1996 to 2002. He said that corruption has crossed all limits and there was no control on checking corruption and nepotism. Prominent leaders who addressed the gathering included Daman Bhasin, Falail Singh, Hussain Ali Wafa, R K Bali, Deepinder Kour, Surjeet Kour, Ashok Jogi, Mushtaq Ahmed, Suresh Sharma, S K Raina, Sonat Bharat, K K Sharma, Ravi Salgotra and others. Prominent youth leaders who joined PDP included Sunil Saini, R P Singh, Parveen Gupta, Sumant Saini, Sahil, Suraj, Ajay Sharma, Vikash Singh, Harmeet Singh, Deepak Singh, Bali Singh, Rajinder Singh, Ajit Singh, Lucky Singh, Rinku Singh, Tinku Singh, Bittu Singh and others.
