| Lakme fashion week | | INIFD students design selected | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 11: Designs of two students of International Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) Jammu have been short listed among the final 20 collection for the forthcoming Lakme Fashion Week to be held at Grand Hyatt in Mumbai in March 2011.
In a handout issued here today, it has been stated that the designer garments of students will be part of generation next category, where top models of national and International repute will wear them and walk the ramp along with the likes of Manish Malhotra, Ritu Kumar, Ne .ta Lulla, Manish Arora, Marinu Ramari, Satya Paul, Anita Dongre, Narendra Kumar and Anuj Sharma.
Students worked under the theme Summer/Resort 2011. Summer Resort wear are garments which are easy to wear and warmest estimates globally. Designs of Jammu students were short listed from more than 2000 entries from all across the country by a panel of well-known designers from the fashion world.
Himanshu Malik visited INIFD Campus to preview collection selected for forthcoming Lakme Fashion Week. Chairperson of INIFD Vanita Thakur said that it is a proud moment for us to see our students being selected at Lakme Fashion Week second time and this time for the prestigious ramp show.
