| PDP protests against govt's anti-democratic attitude towards Early Times | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 11: The PDP unit, Kathua burnt the effigy of the state coalition government by holding a massive protest under the leadership of district president Surinder Singh against the anti-democratic attitude of the state government towards the print media especially daily English newspaper Early Times.
He alleged the state coalition government of harassing and threatening the Early Times by directing all the government agencies to stop all the advertisements and any govt news in this paper which exposes real anti- media and anti democratic intention of the Omar Abdulla's regime.
The district president Surinder Singh said that such atrocities by the government on media should not be tolerated at any cost .
PDP warned the coalition government if it will not change its undemocratic style towards the early times news paper then PDP would ready to launch state wide movement against the vindictive attitude of the coalition government. In protest Jagdeep Singh, Vinod Gupta, Ex-Capt. Kulbir Singh, Kala Ram, Ganesh Dutt were present. |
