Signature campaign against govt vindictive attitude towards Early Times | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, Dec 11: The Akhil Bhartya Vidyarthi Parishad unit Government College, Kathua conducted a signature campaign to lodge their protest against the vindictive attitude of the coalition government for threatening and harassing the state's most popular and accepted daily English paper Early Times . The signature campaign launched under the leadership of college president of ABVP Manmohan Sharma and city president Arun Raina criticized the Omar led NC government which has been exposed as most corrupt and anti-people and these facts were taken before the people by all the print and electronic media. ABVP leaders alleged that coalition government has adopted undemocratic means to harass some newspapers to crush their bold and true voice for the welfare of the society. They further said that this corrupt government has deliberately directed to the government agencies to stop advertisements to many newspapers and in particular Early Times because the paper has brought the true face of the rulers of the state at the doors of common man. On the occasion, the senior most activist of the ABVP Rahul Dev, Ravinder Sharma, Kamal Andotra, Ajay Sharma, Gorav Gupta, Sandeep and Nitin Dabur were present and warned the state government that if the ban is not lifted at the earliest, then a mass movement would be launched against such kinds of atrocities of the government over the media. |
