| Heritage School celebrates Dharohar 2010. | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 12: In order to show case the cultural strength of this region and its diversity, Heritage School Jammu celebrated Annual Day Dharohar today at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium (Jammu University).Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla was the Chief Guest and Minister for Public Health Engineering and Tourism Nasir Aslam Wani was the guest of honour.After symbolic lighting of the lamp the programme started with the opening items depicting the elemental forces of nature that play a crucial role in shaping our personality.It, also, introduced the team of the four houses along with the elected student executive council members.Prizes were distributed among the achievers by the chief guest and the guest of honour in different format . The highlight of the programme was a mesmerizing dance drama directed by the nationally reputed theatre personality Balwant Thakur.Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest applauded the performance and lauded the efforts by the management in going all out to promote the cultural heritage of the state and thus living up to its name.While presenting the school report the principal, B.N. Sarkar congratulated the artists, teachers and the students for their enticing performance and assured one and all that the school will consistently endeavour to scale greater heights and aims to be a school for tomorrow.Presenting the vote of thanks, the chairperson, Sunita Gupta wished that the honest attempt made through the dance and drama achieves its objective of connecting all of us to our cultural roots. She, also, assured the entire stakeholder that the management would ever be making all out effort to impart quality education.
