Rashtriya Rifles organises medical camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 12: As part of the ongoing humanitarian effort, a Medical Camp was organised today by a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Romeo Force at Bathidar High School, Bhagiot. Camp was inaugurated by Commanding Officer Rashtriya Rifles Battalion in the presence of civil dignitaries, Sarpanches, Numberdars and civil medical staff. Most of the villages of this area are located in remote areas and basic necessities like hospitals and clinics are almost non-existent in this area.A large number of doctors, both from civil and Army were present in the medical camp and provided treatment, consultation, counselling and specialized medical care to the poor and needy population of all age groups including children, women and elders. Medicines were provided free of cost to all.Approximately 1350 patients from far flung areas of Bhagiot, adjoining villages and surrounding areas of Mendhar attended the Camp and benefited from the facilities provided.The close liaison between Army and civil administration, particularly medical department, provided a long awaited opportunity to poor local population of Bhagiot and its adjoining area. In fact, locals have requested for more such medical camps in future while extending their gratitude towards the Army.
