Dhruv guides Engineers XI to 8-wkt win in T20

JAMMU, December 12: First class cricketer, Dhruv Mahajan today guided Engineers XI to an impressive eight-wicket win over Advocates XI in the ongoing Atman Premier League T20 Cricket Tournament at MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Advocates XI set a target of 117 runs for the loss of the six wickets, which, in reply, Engineers chased in just 14 overs for the loss of two wickets.
Vimarsh Kaw was top scorer with 27 runs while AP Singh contributed 25 and Pranav Kohli added 16 runs to the total. From Engineers, Ram Dayal, Irshad, Dhruv and Sameer took one wicket each.
Later, Engineers XI attained the goal of 117 runs for the loss of two wickets sparing six overs of their innings. Dhruv Mahajan made unbeaten 66 runs while Ram Dayal contributed 25 and remained unbeaten. Sanjay took two wickets from Advocates XI.

Director Health XI enters semis

The star studded side of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) XI suffered second consecutive defeat in the hands of Director Health Services XI. With today’s win Director Health XI reached the semi-finals and now shall take on DGP XI on December 18 (Saturday).
Earlier, Director Health defeated DYSS XI by five wickets. Batting first, DYSS bowled out for 110 runs in 18.2 overs. Mukesh and Madan were main scorers with 27 runs respectively. Anirudhan was most successful bowler with three wickets while Arun took two.
Later, Director Health chased the total making 111 runs in 18.4 overs for the loss of five wickets. Raj Pal was top scorer with 36 runs, followed by Satyankar and Gagan, who made 19 and 27 runs respectively. From DYSS, Farooq and OP Singh took two wickets each.
