| Free eye camp organised | | | Early Times Report
Jammu , Dec 12 National Youth, Child & Women Empowerment Society organised free eye camp at CHC Marh. The programme was sanctioned by office of the Member Secretary, District Blindness Control Society under the direct supervision of Block Medical Officer Marh ADS Manhas .
The camp was inaugurated by Ch.Sukhnandan, MLA along with sarpanches, Panches and other prominent personalities of the area.
A team of doctors led by Dr Deepak Kapoor (Ophthalmologist), Dr. M.P. Singh (Ophthalmologist), Ram Krishan (Ophthalmologist /Assist), Mohinder Kumar (Ophthalmologist/ Assist.), Amarjeet Singh (Sr. Pharmacist) conducted the camp.
Free medicines, spectacles, healthcare and meals were provided to the beneficiaries free of cost during the camp.
About 250 patients were examined in the camp and 28 cases were operated for cataract surgery successfully. The people of the area appreciated the President of the organization Suman Kapil and demanded such more camps in and around the area.
