| Rao, Charak demand streamlining recognition system | | | JAMMU NOV-05-General Secretary Milchar Front Kuldeep Kumar Rao and President All India Kissan Sabha G S Charak have appealed to the government to adopt some concrete measures to streamline the system of granting recognition to private schools and enhancement in their recognition period. In a joint statement these leaders have urged the Chief Minister that the recognition of the private schools should be at least for five years in the first instance and the validity of inspection once done for granting recognition should be valid for five years instead of present two to three years duration. This procedure would help private institutions from saving time in completing formalities, they said, adding that these institutions should be treated at par with government schools, as both are imparting education to the children. The educational institutions should not be treated as commercial organizations and there should not be any trade tax on these institutions, the statement said.
